While I don’t like the mount (3M double-sided tape, Tesla mount), the item itself is quite sturdy/stiff. In fact, I ordered a second one!

Better than expected

I followed the installation instructions for this mount to a T in my Model 3 Tesla and got several months of usage out of this mount. It is a great mount and I like that I can quickly move it from a side mount to a top mount. The magnet works great with my Magsafe case and never had a problem removing or attaching it to the mount.One evening I noticed that my phone kept slowly rotating downward and was not staying in position. Eventually the whole mount fell off the back side of my Tesla screen and I realized the adhesive had come loose where the mount attaches to the screen. It was in the heat of summer so I’m not sure if that played a role in it or if my iPhone 14 Pro Max was too much weight for the adhesive. Either way, it wasn’t too convenient to lose my phone mount when I had a lot of driving left to do that evening.The kit does come with a 2nd adhesive. I just have not spent the time to remove the partial adhesive on the back of my screen and try to re-attach the mount using the replacement adhesive.I suspect the provided adhesive just isn’t sufficient for a larger phone like the Pro Max. It’s a shame as I did like the versatility of the mount but probably only got 2-3 good months of usage out of it before it failed me.

If you’ve ever been inside a Mini – there are no flat surfaces for a phone holder. It is a challenging ‘desk’ to work with. I’ve never found one that connects to the air vents to actually work – the air vents are vertical, which could be the issue. I managed to get it to stick to the top side of the side sunshade. My phone sits above my head to the left, near the car’s interior ceiling. Weird, I know, but you have to see the inside of the Mini to appreciate the challenge!

I have an “Oh Snap” grip on the back of my iPhone and when these two connect it locks on solid! Very secure.

The has been functioning perfectly while mounted in my 2019 Toyota Avalon. Despite being fully extended while holding up my iPhone 15 Pro Max, the mount’s adhesive and angled magnetic base has held strong. It’s a little difficult to remove the phone from the mount and requires using both hands to hold it in place so that there is no risk of tearing off the base’s adhesive or moving the angle of the mount.Unfortunately, after about six months of use, the fastening plastic nut that holds the phone’s angle fractured but the seller quickly responded to my email and sent a replacement free of charge! Definitely appreciated since this mount has been working so well aside from this small issue.
